Shin megami tensei tokyo revelation is an adaptation of the game of the same name.
Giten Megami Tensei from what I've understand was the most transgressive smt game ever to be made because it had a lot of adult content in it that couldn’t be done so easily today.
It focuses around a demonic outbreak when a computer program that summons demons goes haywire and its up to the main characters to stop it.
So the story is kind of typical of an shin megami tensei story.
Its really short so a lot of it is condensed as much story as it possibly can so pacing here as a result can be pretty odd at times.
The voice acting was fine for the Japanese dub otherwise the English dub wasn’t really that great.
The atmosphere like the earlier smt games was really dark and horrorlike especially giten megami tensei which really amps up the horror. Lot of it was also pretty suggestive too and not exactly for the faint of heart per say either.
The characters too weren’t anything too special either.
The animation yeah it shows its age otherwise the art of it was pretty solid.
Overall this was a below average adaptation.
