Fairy Fencer F Dark Advent is an updated version of the original game for next gen consoles. 

Like before it focuses on Fang and company as they set out to sole the mystery of the god revivals and the story behind it and its up to them to choose which path shall they follow. 

Same concept as before too fairies turning into weapons being able to power you up and gain a variety of bonuses and abilities to assist you in gameplay like combat and exploration. 

You can upgrade your abilities as time goes by and of course take part in challenges to give you status boosts for your party. 

Combat is turned based like before still grindy as ever, there is some rebalances here and there to tweak the gameplay based on your preferences. 

The characters are the same as before Fang still doesn’t really have much of a backstory sadly but he’s still the Hikigaya Hachiman of jrpgs we all know and love. So same tropeyness different shade of coating with its upgrade. 

The graphics and artstyle are as great as ever and gameplay feels more smoother and i hadn’t really encountered any technical issues for the most part cause of the upgrades. 

Dungeons are straightforward as ever but lot of them are pretty much just

recycled assets and enemies sadly knowing how middle low budget, idea factory is with their games and storylines too as a matter of fact for that extent.  

So there is its filler here and there. 

The dlc stuff too lot of it is shit that supposed to be in the base game but really for something thats supposed to be complete theres a fuck ton of dlc bizzarely the switch version rectifies it by having all of it there but still just something thats beyond stupid to have considered to be in there if you ask me. 

The dialogue is as trashy as ever long with the voice acting knowing the lolcowlization habits of idea factory.  

The game has new routes to take part in. 

The music is as good as ever. 

Overall it was an alright game. 

It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
