Love Is Hard For An Otaku is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name.
It focuses around a group of otaku coworkers dating each others respective partners who have anime and gaming related interests and bond over it.
The story isn’t really anything that special or unique really.
Its also fairly short too and can be finished in one sit through
.
Pacing is super fast too a couple of new characters get introduced but they’re more or less put to the side to focus on the main cast.
The animation and art is pretty decent.
The comedy isnt really anything that great lot of it is forced in misunderstandings and constant bickering every few moments.
Theres alot of praise for the realism it allegedly has but honsetly i didn’t see any of that because EVERY slice of life is really just as it is escapism and no scenario on earth could be like slice of life due to elements being exaggerated or something thats based on escapism period.

In real life for example since theres alot of the bickersons like comedy here, anyone whos partner puts their hands on them and bickers alot or be put in yaoi like scenarios for ones own delusional fantasies is an abusive person who should be dumped asap so don’t get it twisted its not really as realistic as the fans who glaze it make it out to be.
The characters themselves aren’t really anything that special or interesting and momose in particular its a weird case like shes really dating her bf just for conveince not because of the important multiple factors like chemistry and them going to school in the past and sharing SOME hobbies but not all of them and it amazes me in all the wrong ways how they can even date each other since she sometimes belittles him for playing monster hunter and yet goes in depth with Hanako over otome stuff.
I know theres lot of demands from self righteous breadtube obnoxious hipsters for adult casts well guess what? The characters behave the same you would see probably in any other atypical romance anime be it from the shonen side of things or elsewhere but here it just feels like a fucking ridicolous demand to even have in the first place.
And no just because it has an adult cast doesnt mean it should have the same shit that liberal doomers always complain about either like real life isn’t the show friends seinfeld or whatever normalfag faux world problem shit normalfags have.
Anyways the anime has hiding otaku nature as part of the theme but its really just more so for comedic purposes as these days its a huge far cry sadly and extremely unfortunately from keeping interests in the closest and niche as is because here anime is as big as big can be and any damn retard could be an anime fan allegedly but really there just another sick fuck clout chasing tourist who should be doing what kazeolion and burntfishie did when they got bullied period.
The music of the anime was generally alright.
Overall this was a really average anime.
It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
I don’t wanna hear another fucking femcel shojotard/joseitard complain about anime being too weeby or otaku like and complain bout all sorts of istaphobic shit when they literally thirst over objectifeid men ship them in real life too and anime like this sharing the same type of humor you could see in other 2000s era slice of life otaku themed shows from that era.
Femcels deserve to go through what kazeolion and burntfishie went through all really bad endings for them good endings unlike whatever manga is ending these days lol for all of us.
