Corpse party is a 4 part anime ova based on the horror visual novel series of the same name.
It focuses on a group of students who find themselves in a abandoned school after performing a ritual to keep their deceased friend at peace, and they must find a way to escape of they will end up gettnig themselves killed.
Whos killing them possessed spirits are from another dimension.
By being killed in some really gruesome ways and every single instant of gore in this anime is very unsettling and not for the faint of heart as there is going to be a lot of blood and messy gore every few moments here.
For something that’s only 29 minutes and 4 parts, it has a good amount of story in it but as a result it just feels so rushed as it can possibly can get.
But on the otherhand, lot of the story you’re going to have to play the visual novels to really get the full story especially given its surprisingly complex story for something that looks like a snuff film initially.
The music was pretty decent.
The characters were generally ok too for something that’s an ova after a while in my experience you’ll pretty much just get indifferent to their deaths.
The artsyle was pretty good and the character designs were fine too.
The animation too the best was the death scenes obviously otherwise here its just average at best really.
Overall this was a decent horror ova.
It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
