and you never thought there was a girl online

And You Thought There Was Never A Girl Online is an anime adaptation of the light novel series. 

The story focuses on Hideki Nishimura who is a player of massively online multiplayer games and one day he confesses to his crush who happens to be a guy, and since then hes been pretty much avoidant of anyone who claims to be a girl until one day during a real life meeting he sees other members of his friends online who happens to be girls who also comes from the same school, and form the internet communication club as a way to play games online. 

Another big part of the story is the focus on encouraging Ako one of the characters to learn how to differentiate between reality and fiction since she spends so much time playing online games that she no longer is able to tell the difference and its up Hideki and friends to rehabilitate her. 

The story concept itself isn’t really that special or unique. 

The characters weren’t really that interesting and quite tropey too.  

 I will say i defiently agree with Hideki that he should and Ako to in addition be extremely wary of online interactions since the anime does show at times how nasty people online can really be. The only thing i can really also agree with the characters as well is yeah normalfags are total cancer to be avoided at all times too. 

The action that happens during the mmo scenes is incredibly predictable too. 

The animation and art was generally ok too. 

The music was decent too. 

The comedy itself isn’t really anything that special either lot of it is the same old recycled jokes from Ako regressing to her old habits and many jealous misunderstandings too since Ako and Hideki are married in game and not real life. 

Overall this was a below average anime. 

It gets 3 out of 5 stars. 

Ako in ALOT of ways reminds me of the typical girl you see online, incredibly naive very uwu like and absoultely no common sense whatsoever which easily leads them to being groomed for extremely terrible things like the gross shit you see on places like myanimelist forums and discord be it the underground cancerous shit that terrorist satanist cult 764 does or on the mainstream popular servers and they turn out also to be just as mentally unstable and toxic af as any other asshole who uses social media too. 

So yeah long story short the only winning card on the internet is this, don’t ever interact or befriend anyone at all online whatsoever same thing goes for real life too just absoultely avoid it at all times
