Angel of death

Angel Of Death is an anime adaptation of the video game of the same name.

It focuses on Issac, a serial killer and Rachel, someone who has no memory how she ended up in the location she is in. She must find a way out and figure out the events that led to her being in this predicament.

The story itself it does have something of a slow start but after a while things do speed up. A lot of story content was unfortunately not there in the anime and some of the elements were more so elaborated on the books tied into the series.

The characters are all sick, twisted and demented in their own ways and many of them fill out for the dark personality traits atypical of serial killers: (abusive upbringings and animal cruelty in particular also sexual deviancy to some extent).

Issac is cruel and sadistic and takes great pleasure feeding off the misery of others. Rachel is stoic throughout the whole story with the most notable thing about her is her fascination with God. The action is predictable and bloody considering the saw like tense nature of the traps and how characters solve them.

The animation and art are good. The music is pretty good too.

The ending leaves more questions than answers, so it wasn’t really that good either.

Overall, it was an ok anime.

It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
