Cyberteam Akihabara is an anime original series created by Asahi studioes from the same creator as Saber Marionette J.

It focuses on a group of teenage girls who own a latest craze in the early 2010s in the Akihabara district called “pata-pi” and certain ones chosen by certain teenage girls can give them special abilities to fight evil and thats what the story is about.

The concept itself isn’t exactly the most original as you can see concepts like this today in alot of anime and manga.

I did however liked the lore and worldbuilding behind the scenes that goes on during the story though almost like Xenogears in some aspects.

The characters themselves were bland and nothing really that special or interesting.

The comedy was pretty forced in alot of the times and its mostly just bickering between characters and lot of distractions that doesn’t really seem to advance the story.

In fact alot of the episodes were just focus on beyond pointless petty drama and misunderstandings between one another that it just felt really uneeded as if the writing team was really trying hard to copy off onisama e (even though i never seen but i am well aware of its reputation for extreme melodrama that i rather not watch because i rather not put up with stupidity between characters) of all things only for it to just come across as EXTREMELY ANNOYING.

Also not helping either was in one of the episodes while the other villainesses were hanging out they just went on a misandrist rant blaming men for their issues even though you can tell by their actions they have all but themselves to blame for the scenarios that they are in.

Another thing that was annoying was how most of the topic was true love this true love that to the point it matches Marl Kingdom levels of obnoxious cheesiness.

So overall it was very annoying to go through.

The action itself was very predictable and not really that interesting.

The anime has fanservice makes sense since there is idol stuff in it too.

 I honestly

didn’t mind about the young cast having moments of fanservice either its just drawings after all.

The animation and art was decent but there was notable animation errors here and there at least to me like one of the villainesses wearing make up one moment the next none than suddenly back on again.

The music of the anime was decent.

Overall this was a below average anime.

It gets 2 out of 5 stars.

You’re better off watching Jigoku Shoujo instead of this shitshow of a mess of a show.
