Dead Rising is a horror action video game game that kicked started the Dead Rising series. 

It focuses on Frank West who investigates the Willamette Colorado breakout and has about 72 hours to uncover the truth about the cause of zombies going on there. 

Since its set in a mall considering its inspiration from the living dead series, literally anything can be used as a weapon against zombies and psychopaths. 

The psychopaths are pretty much like i mentioned in dead rising 2 with them being selfish first world problem having losers going crazy due to their own narcissism and Cliff Hudson was pretty much the best boss in the entire game honestly. 

Atmosphere wise its actually more scary than the later games which eventually came off as corny preddit type shit especially with dead rising 4 being the case of soycouver enshitfication by the now thankfully deceased crapcom Canada division. 

The comedy here was really the series at its best you can tell its Japanese style through and through in comparison to how preditfeid the later games were. 

You have to rescue survivors too and some have conditions to be recruited depending on what task they require you to do. Unfortunately their ai can be very annoying and unhelpful at times. 

The otis transmitions at times can be annoying and worst of all unskipable especially in critical moments. 

You can tell the games age with the standing and shooting from resident evil 4 and 5 and its not really that fun. 

The graphics and art was generally fine. 

The music was pretty good too. 

Theres multiple endings depending on how well you did in the story.

Overall it was an alright game. 

It gets 4 out of 5 stars.
