Diamond Daydreams is an anime based on the Kita E series of visual novels and adapted by Hudson Soft and Red Entertainment. The story is revolves around six girls from Hokkaido, their friendships and their various romantic escapades. Each episode is split into multiple parts per girl depending on who the story is built around. Some episodes are more drama based than love themed.
The stories and characters are very cliched and entirely forgettable. There were many moments of unnecessary melodrama and hasty jumping to conclusions here and there.The final episode is where everything naturally gets tied up and everyone meets each other kind of similar to another anime Seraphim Call.
It’s a fairly short anime so don’t expect much backstory development but things do wrap up fairly quickly and ends on a satisfying note. The art and animation were decent while the background designs and the characters were quite nicely detailed. The music was enjoyable too.
Overall, it was a decent anime.
It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
