Electromagnetic girlfriend is a 2 part 48 mminute anime ova series based on the light novel of the same name.
It focuses on a loner Juu Juuzawa who meets Ame Ochibana who work together to solve a very bizzare murder that happened in their school.
While also getting caught up in other strange events too.
No the name is not about a cyberpunk story, its actually a reference to denpa which is a term like menhera to refer to mentally ill people in Japan I believe.
There is a lot of characters in the ova, that comes across as pretty unusual in their own ways.
The character chemistry was pretty unique they got on pretty well in spite of their contrasting personalities.
There was some decent enough character development within the story too.
The art was fine and the animation was pretty good too.
I did liked the music too of whats there.
It does its best telling a full story as best it can be in spite of its 2 part ova format.
The voice acting was decent enough.
Overall it was a good ova.
It gets 4 out of 5 stars.
