Dot Hack Legend Of The Twilight is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name thats based on the Dot Hack series of games.
It focuses on Twins Rei and Shugo who are players in “The World” the setting of where the Dot Hack games are based around.
They won a contest based on famous World players Kite and Blackrose from a contest hosted by the game developers and they go on a adventure investigating the mystery of a powerful bracelet given to Rei and find a mysterious entity known as “Aura”.
The story is pretty cheesy considering how its more so focused on appealing to the younger more casual side of the .Hack fandom and the comedy is pretty much just bland.
I did liked the chibi styled art direction it went for the character design.
The characters are as average as average can get Rei and Shugo were fun to see each other but thats it and i heard there was people complaining about the “alleged” incest undertones to it but it didn’t looked like that at all its not Angel Sanctuary or Yosuga No Sora its really just simple twin affection knowing how many twins are pretty close to each other when growing up thats it.
Ouka really was the only one who had the most sense really.
The animation by Bee Train is pretty decent and the art is alright too.
The music is good too.
Its not a long anime either with only about 12 episodes takes only a day to finish.
Overall it was an average anime.
It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
Its really only meant for hardcore fans.
