real girl

Real Girl is an anime adaptation of the manga series of the same name. 

It focuses on a otaku who falls in love albeit reluctantly with another girl whos also something of an outsider and also their struggles in a ignorant and very self righteously hypocritical world they live in too. 

As a result Hikari is something of a loner avoiding real life relationships at all cost till the events of the story. 

Because of course liking anime or manga always equals to somehow being a creep when its reality its always projection of their own skeletons in the closest. 

The story itself is bland and honestly nothing really that special. 

The comedy is boring and pretty much the same type of jokes you can see in other otaku related media focused anime. 

Of course there was alot of forced in melodrama from misunderstandings and gossip all for the sake of it. 

The characters are bland and really not at all that interesting. 

The animation and art was generally ok. 

So was the music too. 

Its a fairly short anime only about a day or so to finish too. 

Overall it was a below average anime. 

It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
