Rune Factory Guardians Of Azuma is a spin off from the mainline series of Rune Factory games. It focuses on the main character who must restore the land, the towns, the people and the various Gods and stop an ancient evil threat that has reawakened.
Like previous versions, it focuses on farming but with elements of life simulation and now in addition to rebuilding your communities.

You can befriend various locals of the towns and even pursue romance and start families too.

You can upgrade stores and decorations as time goes by and you can get more villagers too.
At the end of each day, you get a progress report how well you did. Unfortunately, some of them are downloadable content only and others were missed chances. The characters were generally likeable.
The graphics and artstyle are the best the series has done. The music was another standout. The game has a lot of padding and gets sidetracked to the point you can’t even progress through the main story unless you complete it.
As an Earth Dancer, you can use your power of dance to befriend monsters and the help your allies in combat.
The enemies were real damage sponges so battle was a bit tedious. The localization of the game was inaccurate to the original Japanese version.
Overall it was a decent game.
It gets 4 out of 5 stars.
