sister princess

Sister Princess is an anime adaptation based on the light novel series.  

It focuses on Wataru Minikami who after flunking his entrance exams, gets an invite to Stargazer Academy where he meets twelve girls who are sisters. He spends his life there with his sisters and he also figures out why he was really invited there in the first place.  

The story isn’t really any different to any harem series out there. Many of the episodes follows through a procedural format focusing on each sister. Many of them are introduced at the same time instead of one by one.  

The characters themselves are as average as the harem tropes can be. I did appreciate how it doesn’t focus around petty sibling rivalry for the sake of drama as that is an easy road. Each episode focuses on each sibling unique nature and character. Some of the episodes are fantasy based too with some unbelievable scenarios. Unfortunately, the anime was not the full adaptation as some stuff wasn’t covered from the original light. The animation and art were very good and the music was enjoyable.  

Overall, it was an alright anime.  

It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
