The Violence Jack OVAs are based on the manga series of the same name.
The story focuses around Violence Jack and his adventures in the post apocalyptic Japan as he battles evil on his journeys.
The story each ova is based on is pretty brutal and it doesn’t avoid any punches when it comes to depicting its graphic content. It is full of gore and difficult to watch unless you are a fan of the extreme graphic violence and bloodshed.
The only likable character in the story is Violence Jack who has zero tolerance for all kinds of evil going rampant and basically anytime he shows up there is always a bloodshed. The violence is really just for shock value just to see how much it could get away with, especially since it was part of the infamous days of many ovas being violent. The stories aren’t the full ones unfortunately of the other parts of the manga.
The animation for the ovas for the most part its generally fine but there are some parts that look fuzzy and hard to see. The art was decent.
Overall, the anime was just generally average.
