Knight Hunters Eterinity is the sequel to the original Knight Hunters anime.
It focuses on Weiss investigating an elite prep school where there is a mysterious amounts of suicides going on there and they find out a mysterious conspiracy behind it and its up to them to stop it.
Keep in mind its best to watch the previous season before hand to really get a better understanding of things to really understand this show.
The story itself on paper was kind of interesting idea wise and in some ways it was kind of similar to Rain Codes school investigation mission.
The new characters are pretty forgettable and one of the other older characters Oni got pretty much flanderized now as a karma houdini (also the worst trope in fiction) corrupt executive.
Its funny how they make it seem like you’re supposed to care for the new characters only just for them to be killed off later on and recruiting them out of nowhere with little exposition just makes things more confusing too.
The ending too was also not really satisfying with Aya going through an Ash Lynx anime adaptation moment or Spike Spiegel moment where they try to make it ambigious if he died or not only for reality to show otherwise to the viewer that they defiently are dead and any point of ambiguity just gets thrown out of the window. Its a symptom now that i think of it, is noticble with alot of series especially these days where the endings are just recreations of the infamous mass effect 3 ending where everything was all meant for nothing and its just total dogshit at the end of the day or its just baiting for a sequel that will never materialize at least in this decade or so either way its all beyond stupid to not have a story have a good perfectly complete ending.

Not surprised since its utilizing a different writing team who from what i checked on their other works its not even specializing on stories that have a crime noir tragic feel just popular shonen slop and magical girl slop too.
The new character designs were kind of iffy and it wasn’t immediate to tell who was who because of the new character artist.
The overall animation itself was fairly decent.
The music by Motoi Sakurbai was excellent and one of his lesser appreciated works in my personal opinion.
The action is predictable we all know Weiss is going to win.
The pacing of the show you can tell how rushed it is and so many stuff being crammed into all at once it just kind of throws you off guard with how many stuff that can be there.
Overall this was not really a good follow up to the anime.
It gets 2 out of 5 stars.
At the end of the day, this project is really just a vanity ego project of a seiyuu who will forever be a coporate shill by the powers that be of the industry thats what it is.
