White Album is an anime adaptation of the visual novel of the same name.

It focuses on university student Touya Fuji and his life trying to juggle around many girls as well as his relationship with Yuki an idol and Touya Fuji’s life also working with idols too.

The story itself isn’t really that special or unique.

The characters themselves weren’t really anything that special Yayoi Shinzuka was honestly really the only character i liked considering how sensible she was as well as she’s the only one who manages to keep things together and move things along than the rest of the cast which jumps from one melodrama after another.

The amount of crying really gets ramped up in the second half of the story to the point it actually rivaled the running around and crying Anohana is notorious for.

Touya Fuji is also just a straight up pushover and its funny how the wiki from what i looked up called him having a vulgar personality but here he’s just another run of the mill bland visual novel romance mc who can’t make up his own mind and not helping either is the amount of self pity he gets with how indecisive he is and the regret he gets from willingly cheating on so many girls. He’s no sociopath like the infamous Makoto Itou but he’s still just as much as lame character as he is.

The story juggles around multiple characters alot some appearing more than they should others on the backburner somewhat.

Of course theirs the misunderstandings after another atypical for alot of romance anime/manga that it just is so insufferable to see through.

The ending of the story was baffling and it honestly just left me more questions than answers like who did Touya ended up with and you think with the amount of affairs he ends up with you would think there would be a nice boat ending but nope all those affairs and romance drama and it just leads to nowhere in the end.

The winter setting was pretty decent.

The art and animation was good.

The music was decent too.

Overall it was a below average anime.

It gets 3 out of 5 stars.

You're better off playing other visual novels instead of watching this.
