white album 2

White Album 2 is an anime adaptation of the sequel to White Album.

It takes place 10 years after the events of the first game and it focuses on a new set of characters and their relationships between the leads too. 

The characters themselves were honestly bland and just not really that good come to think of it, the leads you can easily tell something really isn’t all that right in their heads either. 

Just like before we got another main lead who is indecisive between girls and would cheat on them on any chance he could get. 

Not to mention lot of the melodrama between them just comes across as forced bickerings and misunderstandings with elements of manipulation here and there leading to one messy storyline that is just insufferable to go through. 

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the other cast of characters from the visual novel its just 2 of the lead romance leads. If anything lot of the other characters are just barely in the story to the point if you removed them altogether nothing much would really change. 

Then theres also the infamous airport scene thats up there with the infamous nice boat of schooldays  and the carriage ending of ouran where simply put anything with vehicles and romance always leads to messy scenarios that coulda been avoided totally because all of them are always ending up to dramafests that are beyond stupid full stop. 

So the ending again like before is just unsatisfying like so many other anime and mangas these days i think it could be the result of some sort of epidemic going on by the studioes and if that keeps up then we’re in for a level of crash we hadn’t seen since the 80s. 

The winter setting was as good as before. 

The animation and art is good too. 

The music was good too. 

Overall it was another below average anime. 

It gets 3 out of 5 stars. 

I just want to play the classic visual novels like tokimeki memorial the ruby games otomes and of course the classic 2000s epitome of cuteness outside of lucky star to heart as well. 

As a side note i noticed how some people who complained were calling it unrealistic, like i hate to tell you this, but NOT everything needs to be NANA.  

Not go through this slopfest adaptation after another i even actually own the visual novels the games are based on for white album and we without wings from Japan a long time ago but i just simply wanted to see how the anime would hold up. And yeah i think its best just to stick to the originals as is than go through more of these slopfest shitshows after another.
