ZOM 100: BUCKET LIST OF THE DEAD
Zom 100: Bucket List Of The Dead is an anime adaptation of the highly regarded manga series of the same name. It focuses on Akira Tendo who is burnt out from working in a terrible company for too long. He finally starts to enjoy life again when a sudden zombie outbreak occurs, as this means he does not have to go to work. Akira and his friends journey about the infected world while completing their list of to do stuff before the zombie apocalypse claims them all.
The story is somewhat unique with regards to the horror genre but the content copies off Resident Evil, especially the outbreak games. It also borrows from other notable zombie features like the Walking Dead, Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later. It is not much different to any zombie horror themed media post late 90s to the 2000s where it was starting be more so focused on viral based outbreaks.

There are many varieties of zombies. The action is more focused on Dead Rising style of combat where anything can be used as a weapon creatively and also a focus on psychopaths who have lost their sanity during the apocalypse in addition to numerous amounts of zombies that never seems to end. The anime is visually impressive, from downbeat bleak visuals earlier in the story, to a more upbeat
style reminiscent of Splatoon to an extent, to when the apocalypse occurs. The characters are likeable for the most part.
The humour was generally on the mark with occasional flubs. The art and animation are excellent. The music was enjoyable.
Overall, this was an ok anime.
It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
