luigis mansion 3

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the thrid game in the series developed by Next Level Games.

Like in the previous Luigis Mansion games it focuses on saving Mario and this time your other friends like the toads and Princess Peach as they get invited into a vacation resort at a place called “last resort” and it turns out to be haunted so its up to Luigi to save the day again.

The atmosphere is really creepy and spooky.

Theres a lot of very creative puzzle solving and use of backtracking here and in each floor there is a unique style and charm to them.

The ghosts do put up a good fight and require quick thinking to defeat them.

The control system is pretty easy to learn.

Its also really large as well too the hotel you explore.

The graphics and artstyle looks really great.

The dialogue is cheesy and really charming.

E.Gadd in the game he is not as intrusive as he was in the past 2 games. He only calls you on a as need too basis.

Theres a lot of callbacks and references from the previous games for Luigi’s Mansion fans to enjoy.

The portrait ghosts from the first game comes back as side bosses to fight in the hotel as one such example.

There is a multiplayer option to play if you like.

The game has a lot of replay value and is quite lengthy to play through.

There were some filler sections that felt excessive.

The difficulty for bosses are really random some are like easy others are like tricky to beat unless you have a walkthrough.

Not much ghost variety unlike in the last 2 games either.

The gem tracker as well it wasn’t as effective as it should have been since its pretty hard to tell which way to go to collect gems.

The super suction was mostly used for gem hunting otherwise only rarely would you really need it.

Some of the floors where hit and miss and well had some of them were given more polish they could have been phenomenal levels.

It gets a 4 out of 5 stars.
