Neptunia VIIR

Neptunia Viir is a updated version of Neptunia VII for the ps4.

This version is most noted for its implementation of the PlayStation Virtual Reality features.

It focuses on Neptunia and friends once again out to save Gamindustri from a mysterious threat that threatens the realms of Gamindustri.

The game has you invest and upgrade various parts of gamindustri for special bonuses like new equipment to help you in combat.

You can build routes to explore new dungeons as you go throughout the game.

You can take part in side quests too like before and visit the coliseum to fight enemies.

A new kind of quest has been introduced in this game. It is a variant of the standard hunt enemies quest. At the Guild, the player can accept special quests called "Bounties." As they're enemies with a bounty placed on them, they are more violent than regular enemies, and difficult to handle. While the player can expect greater rewards for defeating them, it's best to prepare properly before challenging them.

The game is turned based with some elements from neptunia vs sisters with the pp system being utilized and the more points you earn the more powerful the moves you can summon especially as time goes by.

You can upgrade weapons as you progress throughout the game and also acquire various items based on its rarities too.

There is also the player room where any of the characters visit you throughout the story.

You can also recruit scouts to visit dungeons and collect items for you.

The more you do quests in the game the more development plans you can get to further upgrade the locations you visit in Gameindustri.

Disc developer also returns, where you can create discs to give you bonuses to help you in combat and exploration.

The music is decent.

The game does get grindy from time to time.

The characters are the same as before just simpleton parodies of their own respective consoles they are based on and alot of otaku pop culture references too.

The art is as good as before and graphics too looks much polished as well.

The dlc stuff too honestly, its just stuff that should have been in the base game not for a remake that should have been a complete version.

Also apparently from what i looked up, despite it supposedly being a “complete version” lots of missing story parts too apparently.

And theres still the noticible asset reuses due to the low budget shit Idea Fucktory is known for.

Overall it was an alright game.

It gets 3 out of 5 stars.
