Sakura Wars is a reboot of the series taking place after the events of the previous games.
It focuses on the Imperial Combat Revue who once more must defend Japan against threats and of course their work with the arts and trying to revitalize themselves again since its been a long time after the events of the previous games.
Like in the previous games its a steampunk setting this time its the Taisho period.
The game is a mix between JRPG and romance simulator where you must manage your activties between protecting the world and your work with the Imperial Combat Revue.
The combat part is simple just defeat the enemies and you can be able to deal powerful damage the more you kill them with your mech and depending on who you are partnered up with.
Its easy and simple nothing really too overly complex or brutal just simple fun.
The game has a unique system called “LIPS” where basically its choose your dialogue and see how your character you are interested in reacts to it.
The game has brought in various character artists from various jrpg and anime series from smt/persona to Bleach pokemon K-on,Haruhi and SAO.
The art and graphics are pretty decent.
The characters are ok as it is.
The music is pretty good too.
Overall it was an alright game.
It gets 4 out of 5 stars.
